In a large mixing bowl, add 2 cups of all-purpose flour.
Add 1 tablespoon of baking powder, 0.5 teaspoons of baking soda, 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of onion powder, and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder to the bowl.
Whisk the dry ingredients until incorporated.
Transfer the mixture into a food processor.
Add 1 stick of cold butter cut into small cubes (about half an inch thick) into the food processor.
Pulse for a few seconds until there are no lumps and the flour mixture and butter are evenly incorporated.
Transfer the mixture back into the mixing bowl.
Add 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and mix to combine.
Add 1 cup of cold buttermilk and mix just until combined.
Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
Using an ice cream scoop, transfer the mixture onto a tray lined with parchment paper or a baking mat, using two scoops per biscuit for larger biscuits.
Bake at 450°F for about 10 to 12 minutes or until fluffy and golden brown.
Combine 0.5 sticks of melted butter with 1 teaspoon of garlic powder and 1 teaspoon of parsley, and mix to combine.
Brush the biscuits with the garlic butter while they are still warm.
