Soak almonds for at least 8 hours.

In a blender, combine soaked almonds, soaked dates, carob or non-alkalized cocoa, and non-iodized salt. Blend until mixed.

Transfer the blended mixture to a bowl to form the first layer.

For the second layer, soak more almonds and combine with 10 dates (or other dried fruits like raisins or apricots) and a banana cut into smaller pieces, along with salt and carob or cocoa. Blend until mixed.

Take some of the first layer mixture and form a shape on a flat surface.

Add the second layer on top of the first layer.

Place the bars into the freezer to set.

Once the bars are frozen, remove them and pour the chocolate icing over them. The icing will harden immediately due to the cold bars.
