Sticky Rice

Rinse the glutinous rice under cold water until the water runs clear.

Soak the rinsed rice in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Drain the soaked rice and place it in a steamer lined with cheesecloth or a clean kitchen towel.

In a pot, bring 2 1/2 cups of water to a boil.

Place the steamer over the boiling water, cover, and steam the rice for about 30-40 minutes, or until the rice is tender and sticky.

Remove the rice from the steamer and let it cool slightly before serving.

Fluff the rice with a fork and season with salt to taste.
