Melt 1/2 cup unsalted butter in a pan.
Slowly pour in 1 1/2 cups of heavy whipping cream.
Cook on low to medium heat to avoid burning.
Add 1 teaspoon of minced garlic.
Slowly add 2 cups of shredded parmesan cheese, mixing in about 1/2 cup at a time until melted.
Season with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper, adjusting to taste.
Cook pasta according to package directions, drain, and add to the sauce.
