Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 4 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg (beaten)
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tsp milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. 2Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to smooth it out.
  3. 3Cut the puff pastry into squares (about 4x4 inches).
  4. 4In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, beaten egg, and flour. Mix until smooth.
  5. 5Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each puff pastry square.
  6. 6Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to create a diamond shape, pinching the edges to seal.
  7. 7Place the filled pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. 8Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. 9While the pastries are baking, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar with enough milk to achieve a drizzling consistency.
  10. 10Once the pastries are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly before drizzling with the glaze.
