1 cup rice
2 cups water
2 teaspoons chicken bouillon
1.5 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic
1 small onion
0.5 green bell pepper
salt to taste

Rinse 1 cup of rice with hot water for about 2 minutes, then rinse again with cold water for another minute and set aside to drain.

Heat 1.5 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a pot.

Add chopped small onion and minced garlic to the pot and sauté for about 3 to 5 minutes until they release their flavors into the oil.

Add the drained rice to the pot and fry the rice in the oil for about 2 minutes.

While frying the rice, heat 2 cups of water in the microwave for 2 minutes.

Remove the garlic and onion from the rice (optional to leave onion in).

Drain the oil from the rice.

Add the heated water to the rice along with 2 teaspoons of chicken bouillon and salt to taste.

Bring the mixture to a boil.

Once boiling, add in the optional green bell pepper.

Lower the heat to medium, cover the pot, and let it simmer for about 20 minutes.
