Line a shallow aluminum sheet pan with parchment paper.
Spread the beets on the parchment-lined pan.
Bake in a 425°F oven for 20 minutes.
Stir the beets and return them to the oven for another 20 minutes.
Check for doneness with a fork; if needed, bake for an additional 10 minutes.
