Dry Martini

1/2 oz dry vermouth
1 olive or lemon twist for garnish

Chill a martini glass by filling it with ice water and set aside.

In a mixing glass, add the gin and dry vermouth.

Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir gently for about 30 seconds until well chilled.

Empty the ice water from the chilled martini glass.

Strain the mixture into the chilled martini glass.

Garnish with an olive or a twist of lemon peel.
