Dust a little flour on the surface where you will work with the puff pastry.
Cut the puff pastry into six pieces.
Transfer the puff pastry to a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Bake at 350°F for about 20 to 25 minutes until fully cooked.
Let the puff pastry cool on a wire rack or on the kitchen counter for about 15 minutes.
Carefully cut each piece of puff pastry in half with a serrated knife.
Dust powdered sugar on all puff pastry halves.
Add 1 to 1.5 teaspoons of custard to the first half of each puff pastry.
Cover with the second half of the puff pastry.
Add more custard on top of the second half and spread it evenly.
Turn the last piece upside down and press it slightly.
Refrigerate the assembled pastries for at least 30 minutes before cutting and decorating.
Cut the pastries gently with a serrated knife, cleaning the knife as needed for a clean cut.
Dust a thick layer of powdered sugar on top of the pastries.
