Butter both sides of 6 slices of bread.
Slice 1 onion and fry it slowly until golden.
Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet for frying the onions.
Remove the caramelized onions from the skillet.
Chop the leftover boerewors and add it to the skillet.
Add 1 teaspoon of medium curry powder and 3 tablespoons of chutney to the boerewors.
Stir the mixture and cook over low heat for about 2 minutes.
Prepare the jaffle by placing buttered bread in the jaffle iron.
Add the boerewors mixture and cheese to the bread in the jaffle iron.
Close the jaffle iron and cook for about 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and toasted.
Remove the jaffle and let it cool slightly before serving.
