Light rum is often more affordable while maintaining a similar flavor.

Cut a lime in half and squeeze out the juice of one lime by hand.

Add 1 teaspoon of bar sugar to the lime juice.

Add 1 teaspoon of maraschino liqueur to the mixture.

Pour in Bacardi 1909 Ron Superior Heritage limited edition rum.

Shave some ice using a snowflake machine.

Pour the shaved ice into a blender.

Pour the cocktail mixture on top of the shaved ice in the blender.

Blend for 4-5 seconds until combined.

Serve the blended cocktail in a glass with more shaved ice if desired.
