Wash and clean the spare ribs.
Soak the ribs in lime water and remove the membrane from the back.
In a bowl, combine brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, all-purpose seasoning, paprika, salt, black pepper, and homemade jerk seasoning.
Generously rub the seasoning mixture on both sides of the ribs, ensuring it penetrates well.
Let the ribs marinate overnight or at least for 30 minutes.
Wrap the ribs tightly in aluminum foil.
Bake the wrapped ribs in the oven for at least 3 hours.
After 3 hours, remove the ribs from the oven and drain off any excess water.
Baste the ribs with a mixture of jerk seasoning and barbecue sauce on one side.
Broil the ribs in the oven for about 5 minutes, watching closely to avoid burning.
Baste the other side of the ribs with more sauce and return to broil for additional browning.
Garnish with green onions before serving.
