Zucchini Gratin

4 medium zucchinis, sliced
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp nutmeg
2 tbsp olive oil
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add sliced zucchinis to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes until they start to soften. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.

In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream and half of the grated Parmesan cheese. Stir well to combine.

In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sautéed zucchini, then pour half of the cream mixture over it.

Sprinkle half of the breadcrumbs over the cream mixture, then repeat the layers with the remaining zucchini, cream mixture, and breadcrumbs.

Top the final layer with the remaining Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley.

Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
