Instructions
- 1In a large bowl, combine the cooked lentils and finely chopped walnuts.
- 2Add the nutritional yeast, tomato paste, soy sauce, olive oil, and apple cider vinegar to the bowl.
- 3Sprinkle in the smoked paprika, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and salt.
- 4Mix all the ingredients thoroughly until well combined.
- 5Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more spices or salt as desired.
- 6Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- 7Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little olive oil.
- 8Scoop the mixture into the skillet, forming small patties or crumbles.
- 9Cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through and slightly crispy.
- 10Serve warm in tacos, burritos, or as a topping for salads.

- 4Form the mixture into patties, about 1/2 inch thick. You should get about 4-6 patties depending on the size.
