Copycat Animal Style Fries – Just Like In-N-Out!

Preheat the oven to 425°F.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Spread frozen french fries in a single layer on the baking sheet.

Bake the fries according to package directions, approximately 26 to 31 minutes.

In a bowl, combine 1/4 cup mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons ketchup, 1 tablespoon white vinegar, and 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish to make the animal style sauce. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Peel and chop a white onion into small pieces.

Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the chopped onions to the melted butter and sauté for about 3 to 5 minutes until they are soft and brown, reducing heat to medium to prevent burning.

Once the fries are done baking, assemble the dish by placing fries on a plate.

Top the fries with 1 slice of American cheese per serving.

Add the sautéed onions on top of the cheese.

Drizzle the animal style sauce over the fries.
