Greek yogurt reduces calories while maintaining creaminess
Start by using a rice cooker to make creamy grits.
Measure 1 cup of stone ground grits (using the small cup that comes with the rice cooker).
Measure 2 cups of tap water using the same cup.
Add 1 cup of whole milk to the mixture (optional for creaminess).
Add 1.5 teaspoons of salted butter to the grits mixture.
Sprinkle in some salt and pepper to taste.
Stir the mixture well to combine all ingredients.
Plug in the rice cooker and turn it on by pressing the cook button.
Stir the grits every 5-10 minutes for better consistency (optional).
After cooking, the rice cooker will switch from 'cook' to 'keep warm'.
Give the grits a final stir after it switches to warm.
Let the grits sit for a minute to cool down before serving.
Dish up the grits into a serving bowl or ramekin.
Add a pat of butter on top before tasting.
