1

Heat a large fry pan over medium heat and add 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil.

2

Pat 1 pound of raw jumbo shrimp dry with paper towels and season with sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper on one side.

3

Once the oil is hot, add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for about 1 minute per side until just cooked through, about 2 minutes total.

4

Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.

5

In the same pan, add 8 cloves of roughly chopped garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to brown it.

6

Add 1/2 tablespoon of all-purpose flour and mix for 1 minute to cook off the raw flavor.

7

Pour in 1/2 cup of dry white wine and mix for 2-3 minutes until the alcohol cooks off and a paste-like texture forms.

8

Add 1/2 cup of room temperature milk and 1/2 cup of vegetable broth, mixing until a slightly creamy sauce forms.

9

Season the sauce with sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper, then add the shrimp back into the pan and mix until combined.

10

Simmer for about 1 minute until the shrimp are heated through, then turn off the heat.

11

Stir in 2 tablespoons of grated cheese until well mixed, then transfer to a serving dish and top with chopped fresh parsley.
