Welcome to the video and introduction to making Easter bread wreaths.
State the ingredients for the basic dough: 500 grams of flour, 1 teaspoon of salt, 50 grams of sugar, 1 package of dry yeast, 1 egg, 4/5 cup of soy milk, and 60 grams of melted butter.
Mix the flour and salt together in a bowl.
Add the other ingredients (sugar, yeast, egg, soy milk, melted butter) into the flour mixture and mix well with a spoon.
Dust the surface with flour and knead the dough for about 5 minutes until smooth.
Place the dough in a bowl covered with a plate and leave it in a warm place for 1 hour until doubled in volume.
After 1 hour, cut the dough in half and roll each half into a long coil about 1 meter (36-37 inches) long.
For the first wreath, use 6 uncooked colored Easter eggs and place them in the middle of the wreath as you rotate the coils to form the shape.
Cover the baking tray with parchment paper and place the wreath on it, then allow it to rise for another 30 minutes, placing a bowl in the middle to maintain shape.
While the first wreath rises, prepare the second dough using the same recipe, which has already risen for 1 hour.
Roll the second dough into a rectangle about 35 by 50 centimeters (12 by 20 inches).
Prepare the filling with a little less than half a cup of butter, 3 teaspoons of cinnamon, and 3 teaspoons of poppy seeds, mixing them together with a fork.
Spread the filling onto the dough, leaving about half an inch on all edges.
Roll up the dough from the longer side into a long coil and cut it into 3 equal strands.
Braid the strands together and form a wreath shape, placing it on parchment paper on a baking sheet.
Apply egg wash made from 1 egg and 1 tablespoon of cold water to both wreaths.
Place an oven-safe bowl in the middle of each wreath to maintain shape during baking.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and bake the first wreath for 20 to 25 minutes.
Prepare icing for the colorful wreath using 2.5 tablespoons of oat milk, 3/4 cup of powdered sugar, and a dash of vanilla extract.
Once the first wreath is out of the oven and cooled for a couple of minutes, apply the icing and decorate with colorful sugar sprinkles.
Bake the second wreath for about 25 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
