Dark chocolate can reduce sugar content while chocolate bars can be more economical.
Add flour, coconut, brown sugar, and butter into a bowl and mix until well combined and crumbly.
Take a teaspoon of the mixture and place it into a pre-lined mini muffin tray.
Use the back of a teaspoon to pat the mixture down, turning as you go until it's compact.
Continue until all muffin cups are filled.
Place the tray into the oven for about 10 to 12 minutes.
Once out of the oven, set aside to cool.
In a pan on medium heat, add butter and golden syrup, mixing until the butter melts and the mixture comes to a boil.
Stir continuously and let it boil for about 1 minute.
Add sweetened condensed milk and stir until well combined.
Keep stirring for about 3 to 4 minutes until the mixture thickens.
Spoon the caramel onto the cooled bases in the muffin tray.
Return the tray to the oven for about 7 to 8 minutes.
Once out of the oven, let them cool completely for about 30 minutes.
Melt some chocolate and spoon it onto each slice, smoothing it over until well covered.
Tap the tray gently and place it in the fridge to set for about 10 to 15 minutes.
