Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. 2Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and thyme.
  3. 3In a large oven-safe skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  4. 4Once the oil is hot, add the pork chops and sear for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.
  5. 5Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
  6. 6Pour the chicken broth into the skillet, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.
  7. 7Return the pork chops to the skillet, spooning some of the broth over them.
  8. 8Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork chops reaches 145°F (63°C).
  9. 9Remove the skillet from the oven and let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  10. 10Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
