1

Take 1.5 cups of jaggery and place it in a pot.

2

Add 1.5 cups of water to the pot with jaggery.

3

Turn on the gas and place the pot on the stove to make a syrup.

4

Do not make a thick syrup, just a sticky one.

5

In a separate bowl, take 1 cup of mawa.

6

Add 1/4 cup of flour, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder to the mawa.

7

Mix well to form a dough and set it aside for 10 minutes.

8

Once the syrup is ready, strain it to remove impurities.

9

Wash the pot and return the syrup to it.

10

Add the remaining cardamom powder and fennel powder to the syrup and mix well.

11

Prepare small balls from the dough, about the size of berries.

12

Heat vegetable ghee in a kadhai until hot.

13

Fry the balls on high flame initially, then reduce to medium-low flame until golden brown.

14

Remove the fried balls and place them in a strainer to drain excess oil.

15

Finally, add the fried balls to the jaggery syrup and cover for 10 minutes before serving.
