Greek Style Pizza

Greek Style Pizza, or Horiatiki Pizza, reflects the vibrant flavors of Greece, often featuring local ingredients like feta, olives, and fresh vegetables. This dish is a delightful twist on traditional pizza, celebrating the Mediterranean diet. In Greece, pizza is commonly enjoyed as a casual meal or snack, and it has gained popularity worldwide, with variations appearing in many countries.

Clean and cut red bell peppers into pieces.
Roast the bell peppers in the oven at 425°F until slightly burnt on top.
Transfer the roasted bell peppers to a bowl and cover it to make peeling easier; let it sit for around 10 minutes.
Remove the skin from the roasted red bell peppers.
In a bowl, add lemon juice, salt, pepper powder, oregano, parsley, garlic powder, and a little olive oil to the chicken; mix well and let marinate for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, sauté the marinated chicken in medium heat with more olive oil until well done but still juicy, being careful not to overcook it since it will be baked again.
Place parchment paper on a baking pan and apply some oil on top.
Take some pizza dough and spread it out, making sure the sides are raised.
Apply olive oil on the sides of the dough and spread pizza sauce in the middle.
Sprinkle a generous amount of mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.
Add the sautéed chicken pieces, roasted peppers, sliced tomatoes, and chopped basil leaves on top of the cheese.
Add more mozzarella cheese on top, followed by feta cheese, which is the main ingredient in Greek pizza.
Optionally, add olives and artichokes if desired (not added by the creator).
Sprinkle oregano and parsley leaves on top of the pizza.
Bake the pizza in a preheated oven at 450°F until golden brown.
Once done, add more basil leaves on top and optionally ricotta cheese.
