Start by chopping the rødbeder into small pieces to give the sildesalat its light red color.
Next, chop the asier into small pieces.
Peel and core the syrligt æble, then cut it into tiny cubes.
Chop the hårdkogte æg into small pieces.
Cut the marinerede sildefaléer into small pieces as well.
In a bowl, mix 4-5 tablespoons of majonaise with a couple of tablespoons of creme fraiche.
Season the mixture with a bit of engelsk sovs and some sweet sennep to taste.
Combine all the chopped ingredients into the mayonnaise mixture and stir everything together.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Serve the sildesalat on a piece of smurt brød, topped with half a hårdkogt æg and a sprig of dild.
