Introduce the dish: Vegan Lentil Sloppy Joes, easy and cheap to make.

Show the ingredients: 2 whole bell peppers, 1/2 cup corn, 1 leftover tomato, chopped kale, frozen peas, and brown lentils.

Rinse the brown lentils well before cooking to reduce gas.

Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add chopped veggies (bell peppers, corn, tomato, kale, and peas) with a bit of water to help them cook.

Stir the veggies to soften them, increasing the heat if necessary.

Prepare the sauce in a jar: add 1 cup of tomato sauce, 2 tablespoons of ketchup, 2 teaspoons of mustard, 1.5 tablespoons of tamari, black pepper, 1-2 teaspoons of chili powder, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, and 1-2 teaspoons of hot sauce.

Add 2 teaspoons of corn starch to the sauce for thickness.

Stir the sauce ingredients in the jar until well mixed.
