Skin the ham by running a sharp knife around the edge and peeling off the skin.

Turn down to a simmer and cook for approximately 45 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 175°C (gas mark 3).
Remove the ham from the heat and place it on a baking tray to cool.
Stud the top half of the ham with cloves.
Drizzle 6 tablespoons of honey over the ham, ensuring it is well covered.
Transfer the baking tray to the center of the preheated oven and bake for approximately 1 hour.
After baking, let the ham rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
Remove the ham from the baking tray and place it on a chopping board.
Using a fork to hold it in place, slice the ham into thick, chunky slices.
