Nutritional yeast is lower in calories and adds a cheesy flavor.
Cut two Kaiser rolls into medium-sized pieces for croutons.
Place the bread pieces into a mixing bowl.
Add 1/4 cup of olive oil in increments to coat the bread.
Sprinkle in 1/8 teaspoon of salt.
Add 1/2 teaspoon of garlic pepper blend.
Add 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper.
Mix in 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese.
Add 2 tablespoons of Italian seasoning.
Mix all ingredients thoroughly to ensure even coating.
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
Spread the seasoned bread pieces evenly on a baking sheet or pie pan.
Bake in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes, turning halfway through to ensure even browning.
Check for a golden color and crunchiness before removing from the oven.
Store any leftover croutons in a container in the fridge for up to a week.
