Welcome to my kitchen and today I'm sharing my favorite vegetarian burger option: grilled portobello mushroom burger.

2

Start with beautiful portobello mushrooms and red onion, both will be grilled.

3

Prepare toppings: sliced tomatoes, Boston lettuce leaves, sliced avocados, and red hot peppers.

4

For the marinade, use extra virgin olive oil or pure sesame oil, balsamic vinegar, and balsamic glaze.

5

Add garlic powder and Greek seasoning, along with salt and pepper to taste.

6

Mix the marinade until it thickens and emulsifies.

7

Cut off the caps from the portobello mushrooms.

8

Brush the marinade onto one side of the mushrooms, then flip and coat the other side.

9

Coat the red onion with the marinade as well, ensuring both sides are covered.

10

Let the mushrooms and onions marinate for at least 15 to 20 minutes.

11

Place the marinated mushrooms and onions onto the grill.

12

Toast the whole wheat buns on the grill until golden.

13

Flip the mushrooms and onions while grilling until cooked through.
