In a bowl, place 4 egg yolks, 52 g of powdered sugar, and 20 g of cognac, then mix until there are no lumps.
Pour in 50 g of melted butter and stir to combine.
Add in 150 g of flour and 2 g of salt, stirring until a dough forms.
Pour the dough onto plastic wrap, form into a squarish shape, and wrap tightly. Refrigerate overnight.
After refrigeration, check the dough for stickiness and dust with flour if necessary.
Roll out the dough to about 1 inch thick and cut into 1 inch by 3 inch pieces.
Make a slit in the middle of each piece.
Fry the pieces in oil heated to about 165°C until they are light golden brown, flipping occasionally for even cooking.
Remove from oil and drain on paper towels, then dust heavily with powdered sugar before serving.
