1 whole chicken
1 carrot
1 piece ginger
1 cinnamon stick
2 star anise
2 cloves garlic

fish sauce
rice noodles

Cut the onion in half and use the peels.

Caramelize the onion, ginger, garlic, cinnamon, star anise, and cardamom in a pot on low heat until brown.
