½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp mushroom powder
1 tsp sugar
2 tbsp starch
50g (2oz) green onion
1 cup (3.4oz | 96g) breadcrumbs or chickpea crumbs
½ tbsp Korean chilli flakes
1 tsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp chopped green onion
2 minced garlic cloves
2 tbsp hot oil
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp vinegar
½ tbsp sugar

Place 250g (9oz) of firm tofu in cheesecloth.

Twist the cheesecloth tightly around the tofu and squeeze out excess liquid.

Transfer tofu to a mixing bowl.

Add 100g (4oz) of sweet corn, ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp black pepper, 1 tsp mushroom powder, 1 tsp sugar, and 2 tbsp starch to the bowl.

Cut 50g (2oz) of green onion and add to the bowl.

Mix all ingredients together until combined.

Add 1 cup (3.4oz | 96g) breadcrumbs or chickpea crumbs to a large plate or bowl.

Make mixed ingredients into small balls, forming tofu meatballs.

Coat tofu balls with breadcrumbs or chickpea crumbs and set aside.

Heat oil in a pan and deep fry tofu balls on medium-low heat until golden brown.

In a small mixing bowl, combine ½ tbsp Korean chilli flakes, 1 tsp sesame seeds, 1 tbsp chopped green onion, 2 minced garlic cloves, 2 tbsp hot oil, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp vinegar, and ½ tbsp sugar.
