Toast hazelnuts, peanuts, and sliced almonds in a pan over medium to high heat for about 10 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
Add water to the toasted nuts and cook for another 10 to 15 minutes until they soften.
Pour the nut mixture into a blender or food processor and puree on the highest setting for about 5 to 10 minutes until smooth.
Transfer the pureed nut mixture to a large mixing bowl.
Add cocoa powder and dark chocolate chips to the bowl, and mix until everything is melted and thoroughly incorporated.
Chill the mixture in the fridge for about an hour to set up.
Sprinkle Maldon salt on top for a savory bite before storing.
Store the spread in mason jars for use within the next month.
