Welcome to KTA Kitchens. I'm Chef Ryan Covert and today I'm going to demonstrate a spring pea hummus.

The ingredients for this recipe include a package of frozen peas, zest of one lemon, juice of lemon, cream cheese, fresh basil, roughly chopped, pepper, and salt.

We're going to add the frozen peas that have been thawed. Pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess water.

Add the lemon zest, lemon juice, cream cheese, fresh basil, pepper, and salt to the food processor.

Puree all the ingredients until smooth.

About halfway through, open the food processor and scrape down the edges to ensure it purees smoothly.

After pureeing for a couple of minutes, check the consistency; you can choose to keep it chunky or make it smooth.

Plate the spring pea hummus dip and give it a taste.

Serve with any crackers you enjoy, such as rice crackers.
