Nutritional yeast provides a cheesy flavor with fewer calories.

Rinse the asparagus before shifting them to the chopping board.

Preheat the oven on 400 F.

Chop an inch or half an inch of the asparagus from the bottom.

Finely chop the garlic.

Spread the asparagus on a baking tray with parchment paper or cookie sheet on.

Sprinkle all the chopped garlic. Be generous.

Sprinkle salt, pepper and garlic powder.

Drizzle the olive oil on the asparagus.

Place the tray inside the oven and time it around 20 minutes.

After 10 minutes take the tray out and flip all the asparagus and put it back in the oven for another 10 minutes.

Take the asparagus out and plate it out. Sprinkle the crisp flakes of chopped garlic over it.
