Hear Me Out... BANANA Hot Sauce!

Peel the bananas and chop them into pieces.

Heat some oil in a pan.

Add the chopped bananas to the pan and cook over high heat until nicely caramelized.

Dash in some dark rum and, if feeling adventurous, set the mixture ablaze.

Once the flames die down, chop up some chillies and add them to the pan along with some raisins.

Mix everything together and add white wine vinegar, water, and a good pinch of salt.

Bring the mixture to a boil, cover with a lid, and simmer for 15 minutes or until the chillies and bananas are soft.

Once cooked, place the mixture into a blender along with a generous squeeze of lime juice.

Blitz everything together until silky smooth.

Taste the sauce and add extra rum as needed.
