Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1/4 inch.

Cut the dough into squares or triangles as preferred.

Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat.

Fry the dough pieces until they puff up and turn golden brown on both sides.

Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.

Drizzle honey over the sopapillas before serving.
