Preheat oil to 400°F in a deep fryer or large pot.

In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup all purpose flour, 1 tsp baking powder, and 1/2 tsp salt.

Add 1/4 cup milk and 1 cup of soda water to the flour mixture, then mix well.

Take cheese curds and coat them in the flour mixture, using 1 cup of flour for the curds.

After coating the curds, place them in the batter mix and drain well.

Deep fry the coated curds for 30 seconds to 1.5 minutes, until golden brown.

Serve hot with ranch or salsa.
