Use pre-washed and trimmed kale or wash and cut out tough stems from raw kale, chopping it into pieces.
Add a little olive oil to a non-stick frying pan; the amount of oil is up to you.
Turn the heat on high and wait until the oil starts sizzling.
Add the kale to the pan, noting it will shrink as it cooks.
Mix the kale and then reduce the heat to medium-high, continuing to mix every minute.
After about three minutes, check the kale; if it's browning too much, reduce the heat to medium-low.
Sprinkle the kale with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder, mixing well.
Cook for another minute or two until the kale is tender to your liking.
Turn off the heat and remove the kale from the pan.
