1

In a quarter cup warm water, add two teaspoons of yeast and one tablespoon of sugar. Mix well and cover to set aside until activated and doubled in size.

2

In a mixing bowl, combine one cup of warm milk, half a cup of vegetable oil, and one egg white. Mix well.

3

Once the yeast is ready, combine it with the wet ingredients.

4

In a separate bowl, add three and a half cups of all-purpose flour and half a teaspoon of salt.

5

Gradually add the wet ingredients into the flour and mix until combined.

6

Cover the dough and let it rest for about 15 minutes to an hour in a warm place.

7

After resting, divide the dough into eight equal portions and form them into balls. Cover them to prevent drying.

8

Take one dough ball and flatten it out. Add cheese only in the center, leaving the sides clear.

9

Secure the edges by pressing them down with fingers to seal the filling inside.

10

Make small slits or vents on top of the dough to allow air to escape, being careful not to cut too deep.

11

For some of the cheese, add sun dried tomatoes and hot pepper flakes to make it spicy.

12

Sprinkle sesame seeds on the non-spicy ones or leave them plain for identification.

13

Preheat the oven to 400°F and place the tray on the bottom rack.

14

Once the bottom is golden, move the tray to a higher rack and add a second tray if desired.

15

Once the top is golden, remove from the oven and serve.
