Add honey to warm water and mix.
Add yeast to the honey water mixture and let it proof for about 10 minutes.
In a mixer, combine all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, and salt.
Once the yeast has proofed, add melted butter to the mixture.
Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients in the mixer and mix for about 3 to 5 minutes until it comes together.
Add a little oil to the dough, mix it around, and leave it in the same bowl or transfer to a different bowl.
Cover the dough and place it in a warm place to proof for about 1 to 2 hours.
After proofing, release the air from the dough and cut it into three equal pieces.
Roll each piece into a long shape about 18 inches long.
Braid the three pieces together to form a plait.
Place the braided dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Cover the dough and let it rise for about 40 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Bake the bread in the oven for about 30 minutes.
Once baked, brush the top with melted butter and transfer to a wire rack to cool before cutting.
