1

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.

2

Cook pepperoni in a cast-iron skillet until crisp, about 5 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-covered plate and set aside.

3

Add oil to the skillet over medium to medium-high heat and wait until it shimmers. Add garlic and stir off heat for about 30 seconds.

4

Transfer garlic and oil to a small bowl and set aside.

5

Place defrosted dough on a lightly floured work surface and press and roll into a square about 8 inches by 8 inches.

6

Cut dough into approximately 30 pieces.

7

Working with one piece of dough at a time, roll into a tight ball, dip into garlic oil, and place along the inside edge of the skillet, keeping the center clear for the dip mixture.

8

Place remaining dough balls on top of the first layer, in the seams of the dough, creating another layer around the edge of the skillet. Cover with greased plastic wrap and set aside for about 20 minutes.

9

Remove plastic wrap and bake for 20 minutes, until the rolls are starting to brown.

10

In the meantime, using a handheld mixer, combine cream cheese and pizza sauce in a medium-sized bowl.

11

Add shredded cheese and about 3/4 of the cooked pepperoni, stirring until incorporated.

12

Add cheesy mixture to the center of the skillet and bake for another 10 minutes.

13

The dip will be hot and the buns an even more golden brown color. Sprinkle remaining pepperoni on top of the dip and serve.
