Honey Garlic Sauce

Honey garlic sauce is a versatile condiment often used in Asian cuisine, particularly for glazing meats or as a dipping sauce. Its sweet and savory profile makes it a favorite for stir-fries and grilled dishes. In modern cooking, it has gained popularity worldwide, often adapted to suit various palates and dietary preferences.
In a small pan, heat oil or butter over low flame. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant and lightly golden — about 30 seconds. Don’t brown it too much or it’ll turn bitter.
Pour in honey, soy sauce, and tomato ketchup. Stir gently to combine everything into a smooth mix.
Check the sauce consistency. If it's thin, simmer on slow heat to get the right consistency. Keep stirring! Tip: If you prefer a thicker, glaze-like texture, mix 1 teaspoon cornstarch with 3 tablespoon water to make a slurry. Add it to the pan while stirring continuously until the sauce thickens to your liking.
Let the sauce simmer on low heat for 1–2 minutes until glossy and aromatic.
Season with salt and black pepper.
Give it a good mix and remove from heat.
Now the sauce is ready! Serve it alongside your meal.
