Pan Grilled Calamari

3 cloves of garlic
juice of half a lemon
2 tbsp olive oil
5 medium cleaned squid

Preheat a grill pan over medium-high heat.

In a bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon zest, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.

Add the calamari rings to the bowl and toss to coat them evenly with the marinade.

Let the calamari marinate for about 15 minutes.

Once the grill pan is hot, add the calamari rings in a single layer.

Grill the calamari for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they are opaque and slightly charred.

Remove the calamari from the grill and transfer to a serving platter.
