Nutritional yeast provides a cheesy flavor with fewer calories.

Add olive oil to a large skillet and heat until sizzling.

Press garlic into the skillet.

Add a whole onion and sauté until fragrant.

Add about 3 tablespoons of butter to the skillet.

Sprinkle in garlic powder and stir.

Add fresh spinach to the skillet and toss to coat in oil and garlic.

Cook spinach, stirring frequently, until wilted, about 3-4 minutes.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Remove from heat and shave fresh parmesan cheese over the top before serving.
