Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Grease the foil with butter or Pam.
Lay lemon slices on top of the greased foil.
Place sliced onion on top of the lemon slices.
Put the grouper fillet on top of the onions.
Lightly salt and pepper the fillet.
Bake in the oven at 400 degrees until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a knife, about 10 minutes.
Prepare the topping by mixing half a cup of sour cream, a couple of tablespoons of prepared mustard, and a quarter teaspoon of paprika.
Set the topping aside while the fish bakes.
After the fish is done baking, spread the topping over the fillet.
Broil the topped fish until golden brown.
