Sourdough Detroit-Style Pizza

Prepare the sourdough starter the night before and let it ferment overnight.
Mix the bread flour, water, salt, sugar, and yeast in a large bowl until combined.
Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 4-6 hours until doubled in size.
Grease a rectangular baking pan with olive oil and sprinkle cornmeal on the bottom.
Transfer the risen dough to the pan and stretch it to fit, pressing it into the corners.
Cover the dough and let it rise again for about 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 500°F (260°C).
Spread mozzarella cheese generously over the dough, followed by pizza sauce and pepperoni.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before garnishing with fresh basil.
Slice into squares and serve hot.
