Cultural Context

Originating from Italian cuisine, lasagna has evolved into a beloved dish worldwide, often featuring layers of pasta, cheese, and meat. The vegan lentil version celebrates the same comforting layers but replaces meat with protein-rich lentils, making it accessible for plant-based diets. This dish is popular among health-conscious eaters and those looking to reduce meat consumption, showcasing how traditional recipes can be adapted to modern dietary preferences.
