Mix 2 tablespoons of yeast, 3 tablespoons of brown sugar, and 1/4 pound of butter into the warm water.
Use a mixer with a paddle attachment to mix the ingredients together, then switch to a hook attachment to add the remaining flour and form a stiff dough.
Knead the dough by hand for a few minutes, counting to 100, then form it into a ball.
Place the dough ball in a bowl, cover it, and allow it to proof for 45 minutes to an hour, or use a quick proof method with hot water in the oven for 30 minutes.
After proofing, squeeze the air bubbles out of the dough, then cut and shape it as desired.
Cover the shaped dough and let it rest for 45 minutes to an hour before baking.
Bake at 350°F for an unspecified time until golden brown.
