Cook the grits according to the instructions on the package (usually longer than 5 minutes).
Open a can of Old Glory greens and drain a little juice.
Fry up some bacon until cooked.
In a mixing bowl, pour in the cooked grits.
Add a couple handfuls of Parmesan cheese to the grits.
Dump the can of greens into the mixing bowl with a little bit of the juice.
Add about a teaspoon of garlic powder to the mixture.
Add about a teaspoon of onion powder to the mixture.
Add the cooked bacon along with the grease into the mixture.
Stir all the ingredients together thoroughly.
Pour in about half a cup of heavy whipping cream to achieve a smoother, creamier texture.
Stir the mixture again and check the consistency.
Taste the mixture and add a little bit of salt and black pepper if needed.
Spray a baking dish with cooking spray.
Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Cook the dish uncovered in the oven for about 20 minutes, checking it as needed.
After cooking, plate the dish and serve it with catfish or barbecue.
