Chicken Sweet Corn Soup

200g chicken with bone
1 onion roughly chopped
1-2 green chili
½ tsp peppercorns
3-4 garlic cloves
2 bay leaves
2 cloves
1 cube ginger
½ cup fresh corn
9 tsp pepper powder
2-3 tbsp corn flour
1 egg
2-3 tbsp green side of spring onion
1 2 tbsp soy sauce
salt to taste
1 tsp lime juice (optional)

Heat 1-2 tbsp oil in a pot. Add the ingredients for the stock mentioned above and saute for 1 minute.

Add the chicken, 4-5 cups of water, and some salt, and cook on medium heat for 30-40 minutes.

Drain it and separate the chicken. Shred the chicken and keep it aside.

In a cooking vessel, add the drained chicken stock with shredded chicken, fresh or cooked corn, and mix it well. Simmer for 3-4 minutes on low to medium heat.

Mix corn flour in water and add gradually. Cook until desired thickness.

Beat 1 egg white (or with yolk) and add while stirring continuously. Add pepper powder, and soy sauce mix well, and simmer for 1 minute.

Garnish with spring onion and serve.
