Boil water in a pot and add salt and broccoli to it.
Transfer the cooked broccoli into a blender.
Cook the pasta in the same pot of boiling water.
Add 2 cloves of garlic to the blender with the broccoli.
Pour in about 1 cup of the boiling water into the blender.
Add olive oil to the blender while continuously whisking.
Transfer the sauce from the blender into a big bowl.
Add the zest of 1 lemon and some lemon juice to the bowl.
Mix in a generous amount of parmesan cheese and stir everything together.
Transfer the pasta to a plate.
Crush walnuts with hands and add them to the pasta.
Garnish with fresh mint leaves and optionally add red pepper flakes.
